To remain competitive against large, technology-driven logistics providers, Jones Logistics needed to strengthen its API capabilities while accelerating time to market—solidifying its position as a modern, tech-enabled industry leader. In 2023, OSI Digital implemented a Boomi APIM solution to power critical customer functions, including real-time shipment tracking and shipment creation. However, the solution was deployed within Jones Logistics’ own AWS VPC infrastructure, resulting in ongoing maintenance overhead and avoidable operational costs. As the company advanced its broader transition to a fully SaaS-based ecosystem—adopting NetSuite and other cloud platforms—the on-premise Boomi infrastructure became increasingly misaligned with its cloud-first strategy, creating complexity and inefficiencies.
