Yamaha was challenged with managing multiple, diversified  data centers. All corporate applications were hosted out of  Buena Park, California where their main datacenters and  headquarters are located. Another division, Yamaha Music  Interactive, an ecommerce platform, is based in New York  and all of the applications and infrastructure were hosted from the East Coast data center. The company introduced a  program called One Yamaha which had the mission of bringing all technical requirements together under a single location. The goal was to eliminate their redundant data center costs and re-locate services from New York to Buena Park.
