A sports apparel company wanted to improve their ability to analyze data to evaluate the quality of the short-range demand forecast. This is calculated by comparing the consensus demand forecast to the invoiced unit quantities. This would determine how well the forecast predicted the actual demand and the direction of the forecast error. The source data had certain limitations and could not slice the data to the required level of detail for better decision making. Exposing StyleID level detail has more data volume, and it hampers Tableau’s visualization performance.
